21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

On January 2nd we begin a 21 day fast with focused prayer and worship to see an increase of the fulness of God among us. More of God will result in an increase of wisdom, revelation and breakthrough in our life. Don’t you long for greater encounters of His glory?

Please consider joining us in some fashion during these three weeks. We will be keeping this “Daniel Fast” through January 23. This fast traditionally means partaking only of fruits and vegetables with water. Some versions of this fast include nuts and grains. You can google “Daniel Fast” and find tons of information about the details of this type of fast, if you like. This is not a legalistic or religious activity, so how you decide to keep the fast is not that important to the outcome. However, It is definitely a pursuit of God represented by focused attention and time given to Him. We plan on celebrating and enjoying the Presence of God together in a special way during this special time.

If you have dietary restrictions, there are some creative alternatives to a food fast that will still allow you to participate. You may choose to forgo a particular food item, beverage or activity for the duration of the fast. Also, you may choose to fast a day a week for three weeks or any other combination of days in order to be part of this time.

There is something powerful when the People of God set themselves to pray and seek His face. We will be having special times of intercession and worship during our Monday Night, “House of Prayer” meetings, which begins at 6:30 pm every Monday. We will be praying for a greater release of healing, provision, freedom, power, love, joy, wisdom, revelation, salvations and many other things on Father’s heart. We expect answers because these are all things God longs to release among us.

Is. 58:6     “Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens,
To let the oppressed go free,
And that you break every yoke?

A daily devotional will be available throughout the fast on this site to help encourage you as you seek the Lord. The first week our focus will be on preparing our life for change. Reflection, repentance and restoration are the tools that will help us experience the transforming power of the Holy Spirit this week.
May you experience breakthrough in your personal life during this time and may our church family benefit from a greater outpouring of His presence and power in our midst and through our lives!
